THE CATASTROPHIC CITRUS GREENING DISEASE IS TOTALLY SOLVED
Huanglongbing in Chinese, is a deadly bacterial disease of citrus fruits. It is widespread in Asia, Africa and America.
This disease was first described in 1929 and first reported in China in 1943, the African variant was first reported in 1947 in South Africa, where it is still widespread. The first symptoms of the disease were observed in 2004 in citrus orchards in Brazil, then, immediately dissipated across the entire American continent.
From 1929 to the present, there has been no silver bullet for HLB, says Lorenzo Rossi, assistant professor at the Indian River Research and Education Center.
The Citrus Pest and Disease Prevention Program wrote on its website: “While not harmful to humans, the disease kills citrus trees and has no cure at all”.
The pathogen is transmitted by vector insects, so they are mobile bacteria of the genus Candidatus Liberibacter spp, and are transmitted by two species of insect.
Finally, we bring the good news to all citrus farmers that we have developed an organic, non-toxic and non-ecotoxic solution as a very effective remedy against this virulent phytopathology and all insects, by a safe protocol in liquid form used by foliar application.
